Karbon Supports the Toronto Marathon

Toronto, Ontario. October 15, 2004

Karbon has partnered with the Toronto Marathon in supplying 4,000 technical running shirts for the events 10th Anniversary. The first 2,000 participants who signed up for the half marathon and marathon receive the garment.

Top athletes from around the world will be coming in for one of the premiere marathons in North America. More than 10,000 runners are expected to participate in the events. For the first time, the Toronto Marathon will be broadcast on Canada’s national network, CBC Television on Saturday, October 23rd, 2004 at 2:00p.m. (EST).

“We have really reach world-class status with the national broadcast, and wanted to do something special for our 10th anniversary. The support of Karbon has afforded us the opportunity to supply our athletes with an outstanding product” stated Jay Glassman race director. The running shirt provided utilizes Karbon’s K-wick moisture management fabric. According to Peter Schure, Schure Sports team coordinator, “We are delighted to help support one of the premiere marathons in the world and showcase our technical apparel.”
